What is Ganoderma Lucidum

GANODERMA LUCIDUM
(Ling Zhi, Red Reishi, Ling Chi or Mannentake)
Ganoderma Lucidum also known as Ling Zhi in China or Reishi/Mannentake in Japan is a red mushroom that is found in tree stumps and logs that are decaying. This fungus is known to have medicinal properties that address holistic health. Unlike people in the western side of the world that deals with medical issues individually, practitioners from the eastern side believe in the prevention of diseases by addressing the healthy activities of the body’s various organs. Mannentake is one of these substances that supports this belief and has been used by the oriental world for nearly four centuries for issues ranging from the common cold to longevity (long life) and skin enhancement.
THE CHEMICAL COMPONENTS OF LING ZHI
Through advanced technology, scientists have attained a better understanding of the main chemical composite of Ganoderma Lucidum. This includes active components such as:
  • Organic Germanium
This rare mineral helps to improve blood circulation, eliminate fatigue, enhance energy, strengthen the immune system and discard toxins.
  • Superoxide Dismutase (SOD)
This is effective for antioxidant, anti-free radicals and anti-ageing. It slows down the ageing of cells and promotes rejuvenation.
  • Polysaccharides
This effectively reduces unwanted cholesterol level, neutralize fats, strengthen immune system and suppress cancerous cells.
  • Triterpenes (bitter substances)
This is also known as Ling Zhi acid. It helps to improve gastro-intestine functions, for anti-allergy, anti-inflammation and anti-tumour.
  • Adenosine Monophosphate (AMP)
This can dissolve thrombus and remove blood vessel blockage. Excellent for reducing conditions of high blood pressure, stroke, heart vessel blockage and numbness.
